Salman graduated in the year 2000. After graduation, Salman pursued his career in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and worked in various hospitals all over the country including London and Liverpool. This is where he undertook advanced oral surgery procedures. Salman has gained considerable experience in Dentoalveolar Surgery. He is a Member of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons of Royal College of England. In 2022, Salman has been appointed on the board of governers for Alder Hey Children's Hospital.

Keeping up to date with advances in dentistry is of utmost importance to him and he regularly attends postgraduate courses to offer the latest treatments to his patients. Salman has completed an Implantology course from the University of Salford and has also completed a master’s degree in dental implants from Edge Hill University. He has a keen interest in Facial Aesthetics and provides anti-ageing treatment and Dermal Fillers on a regular basis.

Salman regularly deals with full mouth cosmetic makeovers which involves a multidisciplinary approach ranging from, implants, full mouth rehabilitation to teeth whitening and facial rejuvenation. As Baycliff is now one of the five NHS Oral Surgery Referral Centre in Liverpool, Salman along with oral surgery specialists provides complex oral surgery treatments with IV Sedation to patients being referred from the whole Mersey region.

Salman enjoys dentistry and is especially keen on treating nervous patients. The transformation of people who are afraid of the dentist to becoming relaxed and regular attenders is something Salman strives for. Dr. Salman Khan has recently completed cases for high profile patients such as UFC Stars Molly McCann and Paddy Pimblett. Also, England Lioness Chloe Kelly and LFC star Calvin Ramsay.

Outside his professional life, Salman has a passion for music and is a big fan of his hometown football club, Liverpool. Salman is actively involved with a charity which helps children on the streets.
